ConnecTV Exclusive: Ro Shon Cheers On Zendaya During ‘DWTS’ Finale

Having competed and placed in the top six on season 14 of Dancing with the Stars, Shake It Up star Ro Shon knows exactly what his Disney co-star and friend Zendaya is going through this season on the hit ABC reality show. During a chat with ConnecTV, the 21-year-old triple threat shared his words of encouragement for his pal, who competed in the finals for the Mirrorball Trophy May 20.

Ro Shon said he didn’t dole out too much advice to Zendaya, who proceeded to get a perfect score on all three of her final dances. However, he did want to tell her an important lesson that pertains to life outside of just DWTS:

‘American Idol’ Finale: An Exclusive Backstage Look When Candice Glover Won

After nearly six long years, American Idol finally crowned a female winner — Candice Glover — during the season 12 finale May 16. With performances from PSY, Jessie J, Jennifer Lopez and Adam Lambert (plus others), the season’s end was two-hours of pure entertainment. Plus, ConnecTV chatters were even rewarded with a special backstage look, thanks to Front Row Features‘ host Chris Trondsen who chatted live during the viewing party, feeding fans fun observations directly from the Nokia Theater at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles.

Prior the finale airing on TV, Chris was on the red carpet outside the theater, where he had the opportunity to interview one of the friendlier judges. (Can you guess who?)

Randy Jackson has confirmed his Idol exit, while the lady judges — Mariah Carey and Nick Minaj — are rumored to be leaving the show as well. So what’s going to happen with Keith?

Chris said the celebrities in attendance were supportive of both the final two, Kree Harrison and Candice Glover:

Shake It Up star Ro Shon has been entertaining us on the small screen for years, and now the 21-year-old triple threat is sharing his talents directly with his fans through his brand new music and dance studio — Grand Vault Studios — located in downtown Los Angeles.

After making his Twitter announcement May 8 that his first album is dropping this summer, Ro Shon chatted with ConnecTV about his music, TV show and why he loves his fans so much!

Ro Shon’s show on the Disney Channel, Shake It Up, is deep into its third season — and that’s not all he has in his back pocket.

Known as #RObotz, Ro Shon’s fans have his back and he couldn’t thank him enough during our interview.

When it comes to creating a movie around one of his original songs, Ro Shon said he has two ideas — either a The Hangover-esque film or a romantic comedy.

Ro Shon barely waited a beat before answering this next question; he knew right away!
