The X Factor‘s former third place finalist and ConnecTV regular, Chris Rene, joined the ConnecTV chat for the final performances of season two of The X Factor Dec. 19 and predicted his choice of winner.
Chris, 29, has been pulling for 13-year-old Carly Rose Sonenclar from the beginning and openly voiced his support for the young singer:
That said, he agreed with fans of the show that Carly Rose’s duet with Leann Rimes could have been stronger. (However, her third song of the night — “Hallelujah” — was definitely worth a $5 million recording contract!)
Having been in the same position as the final three contestants last season, Chris gave words of advice to Fifth Harmony, Tate Stevens and Carly Rose.
Chris also shared his thoughts on L.A. Reid‘s recent announcement he won’t be returning to the show to coach, as he wants to throw himself back into being the chairman and CEO of Epic Records.
As much as fans have been dying to see Chris back on The X Factor stage (particularly for the big finale Dec. 20), he said he’s busy creating new music.
He also revealed one risk he’d never be willing to take…
